Professional Learning and Dissemination

Effective use of the technology literacy assessment depends as much on professional learning connected to the assessment as the design of the assessment instrument.

TLAP has enlisted K-12 educators in designing the assessment — helping, for example, to benchmark the state standards, determine proficiency levels, strategize about how to create an authentic assessment and learning experience for students, and devising scenarios, prompts, problems, and questions for use in the assessment. Educators who participate in these activities will be primed to be leaders in their schools and districts as the state tackles the urgent challenges of learning in the 21st century.

The TLAP Professional Development materials were created during the Pilot segment of TLAP and the materials continue to provide effective and important resources for Technology Literacy.
